These slip over the handle of a cast iron pan. They work from my 6″ up to my 10″ chicken fryer pans. They work well for stove operation, but are just a bit thin for taking pans out of the oven at 350-400 degrees. On the stove the pan doesn’t get that hot. I bought one Lodge brand pan holder that is a bit thicker and works better for oven hot pans.

One note: be sure to take the tag off on the inside of the holder. It is made of poly-something and will melt to the pan the first time you use the holder.

I bought these to line the tray I eat dinner off of every night. They are a good fit in that they cover the bottom of the tray and about an inch up all sides. Good at soaking up drips and scooping up crumbs. The blue is very pretty, and I like the pattern. They do wrinkle a bit, which I ignore. They stay flat between the hems and just wrinkle a bit along the hems. If you wanted to iron them, I’m sure they would iron up well. I go through one every couple of days, so there are typically several in the laundry. I’ll probably buy more, not because I really need them, but I’m sure I’ll continue to want to have several of these on hand, and want to be covered in case they are discontinued.

Nice and thick but they are a little big for the pan. The handle is about an inch wide and the pot holder is about 1 1/2-2 inches wide so it’s a little awkward and you have to fold the fabric over to get a good grip on the pan. But overall it’s good quality and better then no pot holder at all when you use cast iron
